18-year-old signs for Tottenham as Spurs continue to invest in promising youngsters

Tottenham Hotspur have recently been awarding new contracts to promising youth players.

By investing in their academy talent, Spurs are strategically planning for the club’s future.

Youngsters such as Ashley Phillips, Alfie Dorrington, Alejo Veliz, Jamie Donley, and Mikey Moore have all made appearances in the club’s squad under Ange Postecoglou this season.

The Lilywhites recently announced new contracts for George Abbott and Tyrese Hall.

And now, Tottenham have announced that Spurs U18 goalkeeper Carey Bloedorn has signed his first professional contract with the club.

The teenage shot-stopper has started in 16 out of 17 U18 Premier League games he has been available for this season until a recent injury sidelined him.

The goalkeeper born in Karachi, Pakistan, was raised in Milton Keynes and formerly played for Norwich City.

Carey has made notable strides within the Spurs Academy system in recent years. He was part of the team that secured victories in both the Under-17 and Under-18 Premier League Cups last season.

Earlier in March, the 18-year-old made his debut in the Under-21 matchday squad, earning a spot on the bench for the Premier League 2 North London derby against Arsenal.
