There is a new free Steam game to add to our gaming library collection! The Civ-like, 4X turn-based fantasy strategy game ENDLESS Legend by Amplitude Studios is currently free on Steam.

Amplitude Studios’ critically acclaimed strategy game Endless Legend is free to keep on your Steam library as long as you get it anytime from May 16 to May 23.

This is not exactly the first time the studio has given out Endless Legend to gamers for free. Earlier this year, Amplitude Studios gave away 500,000 keys within 72 hours for free on their community platform Games2Gether. Due to the overwhelming popularity of that giveaway, the studio decided to extend their giveaway to Steam users.

Endless Legend Gameplay

For those unfamiliar with the game, Endless Legend is a strategy game much similar to the Civilization franchise, hence the Civ-like label. The game was released way back in 2014, earning itself some very positive reviews from both critics and gamers alike.

Endless Legend is set on the dying planet Auriga, and it is up to the players and their chosen factions to deal with the dying planet. The base game has eight factions, which they call civilizations, and each faction has a unique gameplay style and storyline.

Micromanagement is the key to Endless Legend as players not only have to handle their resources but also deal with seasons, city building, assimilating other factions, tinkering with technology, managing units, and so much more.

The game has endless replayability with countless customization options for the world the game is set in. Furthermore, you can play Endless Legend together with your friends as it has online PVP and cross-platform multiplayer options.
